Margaret Coffey, MD

Dr. Coffey is a psychiatrist providing a wide range of therapeutic services for adults and adolescents. She has a particular expertise in psychopharmacology as well as several psychotherapeutic modalities, including Mentaliztion-Based Psychotherapy and Relational Therapy.
In her work, Coffey takes an individualized approach to meet the unique needs of each patient. Her areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, relationships and parenting as well as borderline and narcissistic personalities.
She received my Bachelor of Science degree from Brown University and her M.D. from Columbia University of College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. After completing my residency in psychiatry at Yale-New Haven Hospital, she had a successful private practice in New Haven for 30 years while serving on clinical faculty at Yale Medical School and Yale New Haven Hospital.
